A Free & Open Source Curriculum Sunday, 30 January - Monday, 4 April, 2005 Friday 4 March - Week 5, Day 6 Trust "A human being is only interesting if he's in contact with himself. I learned you have to trust yourself, be what you are, and do what you ought to do the way you should do it. You have got to discover you, what you do, and trust it.`" Barbra Streisand
When you make a commitment to nonviolence, you will often find yourself led in directions that challenge conventions and conventional wisdom, and that may seem to set you apart from others around you. By learning to trust yourself, you can develop a quiet confidence so that your words and actions reflect the love and compassion that is at the heart of nonviolence. Trust your judgment, intuition and the language of your heart when faced with challenges to ways of nonviolence. |
